Tanner Gallella Sleepnet, the solo electronic music project from Noisia alumnus Nik Roos, sounds refreshingly unbound on II. This release certainly isn’t lacking for drum and bass floor-fillers – Lapse and Finality bear down on the listener like a runaway train – but a song like The Best Days is just as emotionally intense without ever reaching for a kick drum. Favorite track: There I Go.

But the moment this album released, I relapsed into addiction, and after I sold the puppy, things have only gotten worse. Sleepnet, please stop releasing music. For my sake. Former's injected his strangeness into a few Noisia and Sleepnet songs, and I've always enjoyed hearing his style on those songs. So I was interested to hear what an album with just Former (and Posij too) would sound like. I'm pleased to say that I was blown away. Sun Tracker is dark, heavy, fast, and completely insane, and Missile is up-beat and happy, but not? Ultra is an unstoppable sonic force, and everything else on the album is just as crazy.
